I'd like to take a moment to talk about mental health. I know some animated guy with an army helmet and Call of Duty zombies in the background is talking to you about mental health, but all will become clear. For those of you who know me, I'm about to share some secrets you may not know yet.

Why would I want to sit here and talk to you about mental health? Well, it should be a conversation you can have with those you trust anytime, any day, all year round. Sadly, this is often not the case. With it being Mental Health Awareness Week, I wanted to give you a message and say that it's okay to talk about mental health. You just have to be selective in who you speak to. Speak to those you trust and reach out to professionals if needed.

Let me tell you a little something about me in case it might help. For those of you who know me, wagwan drillas. For those who don't, hello, my name is Michael WHUR. I'm an older chap who recently started a very small channel that's grown to just over 12,000 followers. Thank you to you all.

My role here, and trust me, I know my role, is usually to be the target in Call of Duty lobbies where the abuse and toxicity are channelled. I'm okay with that because I can deal with it, but not everybody can. Gaming should be a place for escape, where you can relax, have fun, and share memories with friends. Sadly, that's not always the case. My role here is to hopefully allow people like you to have fun while you play, whether on my team dealing with my nonsense or on the opposing team with light-hearted banter between rounds.

Kindness, manners, and respect cost nothing, and this is needed more in the gaming world because it can be quite a toxic place at times. I want to encourage you that it's okay to talk about mental health. A little more about me: I have lost a family member to mental health. I wish they had talked and understood that they could talk to others, but they didn't, and it didn't end well.

If I can achieve anything with this message, it's to encourage someone to talk to someone if they need to. If it's a professional, we can get the right details to you. You can message me, and I'll find them or put them in the comments. If it's a friend, family member, or someone you're building a rapport with, take the time to talk and take the load off. Alternatively, if you'd like to play some games with me and my friends, you are more than welcome.

I'll leave you with this message: you have people there for you; you just need to reach out. Have a good day—no, have a marvelous day.
